About domainXpert

We believe the best AI is built by the best humans

Frontier models don't get smarter by processing more text. They get smarter when the right expert — with the right credentials, in the right domain — teaches them what good reasoning actually looks like.

Our mission

Close the gap between human expertise and machine intelligence

For decades, the world's most specialized knowledge lived in the heads of researchers, clinicians, engineers, and scholars — largely inaccessible to the systems that could benefit most from it. domainXpert exists to change that. We build the infrastructure that connects credentialed domain experts with the AI labs training the next generation of models, making it possible for genuine expertise to flow into AI at scale.

Expertise over volume

We'd rather have one verified cardiologist than a thousand generalists annotating medical data. Quality of knowledge always beats quantity of contributors.

Transparency in every engagement

Experts see the full project scope, compensation, and timeline before accepting any work. No surprises, no hidden terms.

Rigor as a competitive advantage

Our QA pipelines are built to catch errors that crowdsourced platforms miss. That rigor is what makes domainXpert-trained models measurably better.

Long-term relationships over transactions

The best expert contributions come from people who understand the platform, the standards, and the mission. We invest in that relationship.

How we got here

Built by people who saw the gap firsthand

domainXpert was founded in 2023 by a team of AI researchers and domain specialists who kept running into the same problem: the training data available for specialized domains was either too shallow, too noisy, or both. Crowdsourced annotation platforms were built for scale, not depth. The result was models that could approximate expert reasoning but couldn't replicate it.

We started by building the vetting infrastructure — the credentialing system, the quality rubrics, the project-matching engine — that would make it possible to work with real experts at scale without sacrificing the standards that make expert contributions valuable.

Today, domainXpert works with over 2,400 verified specialists across 180+ domains, contributing to training runs at some of the most advanced AI labs in the world. The mission hasn't changed: get the right human knowledge into the right models, at the quality level the next generation of AI demands.
